Jack's Blog

It’s been a while since I updated you but we’ve had a really busy few months and it’s not getting any quieter as we head towards the start of the season. I’ve just got back from 16 days in Australia, testing and racing in SBK RD1 at Phillip Island, so I’m trying to get over the jet lag to get my head properly back into work.

The Crescent Fixi Suzuki Team had a mixed start losing crowd favourite John Hopkins with a broken hand in the first few laps of testing but I was pleased that Leon Camier settled in well and came away with some points. Anyway,  you can read about all that in the press releases.

It’s great to be back in the World Championship, last time was in 2006 running Carl Fogarty’s Petronas Team. What’s different is the new single bike rule and it’s interesting to compare it with the same rule in BSB, but I’ll tell you about my thoughts on that in my next blog, when I’ve woken myself up!

At least it wasn’t all work and no play while we were away – I managed to squeeze in a couple of rounds of golf in the sunshine with some of the lads from the paddock, but it’s nice to be back home with Doris and the dogs. My first job was to get out in the fresh air of the Pennines with Bodo and new addition Willie, the Jack Russell, in between working from home on my reports to Suzuki.

I’ll be back in the workshop by the time you read this to make sure we’re ready for SBK RD2 at Imola and the return of “Hopper”.…no rest for the wicked!
