Ready and raring to go!

It seems an age since the last round at Cadwell Park! Still I'm not complaining. With the amount of work the team and I have put in since Christmas, it's nice to have a few weekends off to chill out and relax.

Saying that, we have been out testing again at Mallory, just to fine tune and try a few things ahead of the races this weekend. Tommy was putting in some really impressive times, and given the less than perfect weather conditions, the times he was doing would have put him on the front row based on last years times; really impressive.

Thankfully Yukio was able attend, so we sent him out for a few laps to reacclimatise himself with the bike and the track. Fortunately he felt good and following a scan last week in Japan he has been given the all clear for the races this weekend, which is great news!

So the focus for this weekend is to maintain Tommy's cracking start to the season and get Yukio back firing on all cylinders. If we can get Yukio back to his best then I think we will have two riders in the six-man shootout come the end of the season. That's my aim, but we all know how unpredictable racing can be.

Mallory is one of those circuits where anything can happen. You only have to look at what happened last year! But I am going into the weekend confident and optimistic in regards to our chances.

Away from racing I have been enjoying my spare time doing a whole host of activities. If you hadn't guessed already, I like to keep myself busy! I have been sailing around the Channel Islands on a 35ft yacht with some friends which was an unbelievable experience. I also got to spend some time walking and mountain biking which I always enjoy.

I also managed to get in a few rounds of golf which was good fun. I have always been really competitive, so I like to get out there and challenge myself, as well as my mates! Other than that I have just been relaxing before it all kicks off again at Mallory this weekend. Fingers crossed for some good results!
