Me and Doris had a good night out at Paul Denning's house recently. He'd organised a fancy dress party where the theme was the letter 'D'. He came as Daffyd from Little Britain and certainly looked the part! Doris had me dressed up as DJ Talent from Britain's Got Talent, complete with all the bling. It was a cracking night and we all had a laugh at everyone's costumes!

Since the last time I posted, we've also been up to Scotland for the Knockhill round of the Championship. Before the race, we went along to a big PR event in the square in Glasgow which was organised to publicise the Superbikes. Michael impressed the fans with a few burnouts on our race replica bike and even managed to pop the rear tyre - all good fun and a nice way to prepare for the pressures of the race!

We had expected to be challenging for a podium finish at Knockhill as Michael had done well there last season. Although he qualified on the front row of the grid, he suffered from a lack of grip in race one which scuppered his chances, then in race two he was posting some competitive lap times, but ended up crashing at the hairpin.

After Knockhill we went back to workshop as usual to begin preparations for the next round. Then, following a meeting, we decided to give Tommy Hill a go on the bike. He's recently split from his World Superbike team and is a talented rider who's obviously very passionate about his bikes and he's come back from some big hits recently to be fit and focussed once again. Tommy had a run on the bike on a general test day at Mallory Park and did enough to show his potential. He thinks ours is the fastest bike he's ever ridden, so the signs are promising.

He'll obviously need some time to settle in, but it's going to be interesting to see how he performs at Mallory for the next round of Championship this weekend.

Hopefully I'll see some of you there…just don't ask me to do my DJ Talent impression!

All the best,

Jack
