Improving times for Rizla Suzuki

THE Rizla Suzuki team had another successful on-track outing during day two of its three day test at Guadix in Spain.

Tom Sykes and team-mate Atsushi Watanabe completed 84 and 90 laps respectively. Sykes was working on his chassis set-up and finished running a similar one to Fridays which helped him reduce his previous best lap time by 0.5secs.

Watanabe also continued to impress as he got to grips with the narrow and challenging Spanish track. He too concentrated on refining his chassis set-up and was gaining confidence on board his Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000; he managed to knock an impressive 1sec off his best lap time from yesterday.

Team Manager Jack Valentine said: Im really happy with how today has gone. Both riders feel there is more to come; our plan is to continue with chassis work in the morning and go for a fast time in the afternoon. The bike is good, we are now just trying to squeeze that last little bit out of it. The more confident the riders are with the chassis the better. The test is the chance to try big changes which we havent got the time to do at BSB; it gives us the chance to explore. Im very pleased with our progress.
