Bright future for BSB

RIZLA SUZUKI is optimistic the recent appointment of Motor Sport Vision as the organiser and promoter of the British Superbike Championship for the next 10-years will herald a new glory age for the series.

Jonathan Palmers MSV has already achieved a long list of improvements in circuit facilities for spectators and competitors alike since it took ownership of Brands Hatch, Snetterton, Cadwell Park and Oulton Park. Now in charge of the premier National Superbike Championship in the World, there is much expectation that further wide-ranging improvements will be seen on all levels.

The 2008 BSB title will be fought out over 12 rounds, half of which will be held on circuits owned by Motor Sport Vision.

Jack Valentine, Team Manager for Rizla Suzuki commented: I think this is a good positive move for the Championship. Jonathan and MSV have an opportunity to raise the profile of the Championship and increase its appeal to the general public. He is a consummate professional and will be determined to make it work. He is very hands on and in touch with what is going on.

The Championship needs to be promoted properly; the riders and teams need to become household names. With Jonathan at the helm, ably supported by the very experienced Stuart Higgs as Series Director, I am optimistic they will steer the Championship in the right direction. This is a new dawn and fantastic opportunity for BSB and its fans.

The first round of the 2008 BSB Championship takes place at MSVs Brands Hatch circuit in Kent on April 6th.
