Rizla Suzuki up the pace at Spanish test

TOM Sykes and Atsushi Watanabe had a productive second day on track aboard their GSX-R1000s during Rizla Suzukis private test at Calafat in Spain.

Both riders worked hard putting in numerous laps around the 3.25km track and improved on their already rapid pace. Sykes concentrated his efforts on working through various suspension links and specifications, completing a total of 81 laps.

Watanabe spent his time on track exploring chassis geometry and how it impacted on the new Pirelli control tyres, completing 76 laps.

Team Manager Jack Valentine said: Today on track went very well, and we have had perfect weather conditions again. As well as suspension work, Tom also tried out new brake callipers and some engine management strategy. Watanabe is getting on well with the Pirelli tyres and his Rizla Suzuki so overall it has been a productive day.

Reports from each day of testing will appear on
